The Sitchan Samba school started with 80 children
We have a Fulani teacher, we built 30 benches and we dream of a glass of milk every other day. We need room for 120 children.
In the school and the surrounding villages there are hundreds of children who cannot read or write. We need room for at least 120. This year classes began with an average of 80.
A Fulani teacher
This year we hired Umaro, a Fulani teacher who has come to Christ. Ivanildo is discipling him and guiding him in the work of the school. Supporting a teacher costs €100 a month.
Benches and blackboards
We built 30 benches, each seating three pupils. Made by a carpenter they cost €75 each; they cost us €10. We try not to use wooden blackboards, because termites eat them.
We also need school supplies for the children.
A glass of milk
Another concern is being able to give them a glass of milk at least every other day. It costs €120 a month: €0.125 per glass, for 80 children, three days a week.
